When you’re in studio with a London glamour photographer, they will want to put you at your ease to get the very best out of you in front of the camera.
Generally, this includes discussing with you pre-shoot what you really want from the session, and any concerns or reservations you may have about it. Below are a few top tips to make sure your shoot is everything you want it to be.
It is important you feel you can confide in your photographer about your vision for the shoot. Remember, it is you who is in control here, and if you have a clear vision of the shots you want to take away with you, be confident about expressing this to your photographer, so you can talk about how the two of you are going to make this happen.
Every model has parts of their body they like less than others, and features that they want to draw attention to. It isn’t vain or insecure of you to bring your photographer’s attention to these, but practical good sense. These photos are for you, and it is important that you leave with results that meet or exceed your expectations.
Once you have discussed any issues you may have with your photographer, you can work together on lighting sets, wardrobe and poses to ensure that any ‘imperfections’ are artfully concealed, and the parts of yourself you are most confident with are given full focus.
Adapting for success
If, for example, you feel that your legs are too short, a photographer can arrange for poses which allow your limbs to appear lengthened, or simply shoot from a lower, elongating angle. If you are concerned that your body is too full, then simply by posing you in a slightly reclining position, your body will automatically appear leaner and tauter.
